At Caritas Care we believe that everyone deserves chances, choices and opportunities to live the best lives they can.

We‘re about giving people from all walks of life hope and we make sure that we’re there to help them through any barriers they may face.

That is why the services and projects are dedicated to making a positive difference to the lives of all children, families and communities. We support people in building the lives that they want and we believe that everyone has the right to be able to reach their goals and aspirations, no matter what their background may be.

What We Do

Adoption

Providing a full range of adoption services across the Northwest, our independent specialist adoption services have been finding families for children and helping adopters on their journeys to becoming parents for almost 90 years. We believe that all children deserve a loving family and that all adopters should be supported at every stage of the adoption process. Rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in 2014, 2017* and 2021* *Outstanding in ALL areas.

Fostering

Foster carers do such an important job caring for children of all ages who can’t live with their birth families for many different reasons, whether for just a short time, for a big part of their childhood or even permanently. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to experience life in a loving family and that all children and foster carers should be supported at every stage of their fostering journey. Rated GOOD by Ofsted.

Learning Disability Services

We’ve supported many people with Learning Disabilities of all ages and help them through a range of high quality services, to lead more satisfying, healthy and fulfilled lives. We’ve got a great team of passionate, committed people delivering these services across Lancashire and we’re proud of what they achieve. They focus on the individual and work with people with learning and physical disabilities of all ages and all levels of need.

Plungington Community Centre

Plungington Community Centre is a place for local residents to gather to take part in a host of regular weekly activities, hire a room, attend one of our events, find information, advice and guidance on the things that matter the most to them or just nip in for a chat, a brew or a meal in our community café (open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday).

Homelessness

Based in Blackpool, Vincent House homelessness Hostel provides supported accommodation in private rooms for 16 (plus 1 emergency bed) single people  16 – 65 years of age. Residents are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the project, including menu planning and food preparation ready for them to live independently.
